Terms of Service

Last updated: August 21, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Lee Crowe Software Solutions LLC ("Halera", "we", "us") governing your use of the Halera mobile app and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Not medical advice

Halera is a personal wellness-tracking tool for general informational purposes only. It is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Estimates, trends, and any information shown are not a substitute for professional medical judgment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions about a medical condition, and never disregard or delay seeking such advice because of something in the Service. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or emergency services immediately.

2. AI & estimate accuracy

Nutrition and exercise estimates are generated from public data and AI models and are approximate. They may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing and adjusting any estimate before relying on it.

3. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

4. Acceptable use

5. Your content

The data you log is yours. You grant us the limited rights needed to store, process, and display it to you in order to operate the Service (including sending estimate requests to our providers as described in the Privacy Policy). You can export or delete your data at any time.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and the "Halera" name and branding, is owned by us and protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or branding.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (including Google Firebase, Microsoft Azure, and USDA FoodData Central). Their services are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HALERA AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notifying you in-app. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

12. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions? Email support@gethalera.com.
